Orientation Programme

With a few days to go for the start of our first semester classes for the academic year 2008-09, Brothers are being oriented towards the post-novitiate formation combined with Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education and Major in Religious Education (B.S.Ed-RE) these days.

Compared to last year, the number of students for this year has slightly increased from 32 to 39 inclusive of seven external students. During the orientation days there were different activities took place. Apart from the class room we had some sports which were arranged by the MAPAC sports committee. It was like a tournament match between the fraternities. Since here in MAPAC we have five fraternities namely Lavalla, Alfano, Francisco, Chanel and Lorenzo. Soccer and Volley ball match were held between these three teams namely final year Brothers, Chanel and Lorenzo. Lorenzo Brothers won the all over championship.

On 6th June 2008 which was the last day of our orientation. On this day in the evening four special events took place during the Eucharistic Celebration. It was a grant and great celebration for our feast day, Opening Mass for the 2008-2009 academic years, welcoming of the first year Brothers and the farewell of Fr. Roy (Indian) our Chaplin who offered mass for us sixteen months and six days. After the Eucharist celebration we finished our orientation with social and grand dinner and the following day the first year Brothers had a city tour with Brothers Romy and Manny. First semester classes started on Tuesday, 10th June 2008.

Thanks

Thanks for the photos. Good on you Kim for visiting the sites … hope other ex-students from MAPAC will be able to give comments as well. May be the communication committee needs to send them the website through their email addresses.

Regarding the sports competition… thanks Chanel and 3rd Year Brothers for trying your best!!! However, there was only one clear and outstanding winner. Lorenzo was undefeated the whole tournament. By the way, what was the score of the finals between Chanel and Lorenzo again!!!!!!
