Welcoming First years to Channel Fraternity
“Community is a grace of the Holy Spirit. Brought together without having chosen our companions we welcome one another as gift of the Lord.” (Constitution Art. 63)
Upon our arrival warm and jovial welcome was shown to us by the Chanel fraternity. The happiness in their faces was apparent. They prepared everything that we needed in the house especially our rooms. They are very generous in orienting us about the daily life here in MAPAC. They were responsive to our queries and doubts and sensitive to our needs.
They also prepared a welcoming program, which started with a beautiful and creative liturgy and was followed by a social which was held in the swimming pool. We shared our stories, talents, jokes, laughter and of course food and drinks.
This spirit that welcomed us reduced our fears, anxiety and doubts. They made us at home in living in our fraternity.
