Dear Brothers and friends

Here we would like to share something about how the students Brothers are trained in different areas especially in sharing the responsibilities. At present in the community we all together are forty Brothers among us eight staff Brothers and thirty two students Brothers. Within the community we have different committees and in the each committee one of the student Brothers becomes a chair person who leads the committee members and a staff Brother plays a role of liaison who guides the committee when it is in need to do better. The names of the committees are communication, landscape, liturgy, music, sports and social committee.

Communication Committee

Each committee has certain responsibilities. The communication committee used to update the important events once a week and prepares two news letters once in a semester. It encourages the students Brothers and external students to contribute their writings and thoughts to share with others as well as it welcomes our friends who are very much interested to know about our lives in MAPAC.

Liturgy Committee

The liturgy committee helps the priest in our chapel to have Eucharistic celebration everyday. It makes arrangements to have community reconciliation services twice in a semester. On the feast days and any other important days invites priests from outside. Liturgy committee prepares a monthly MAPAC calendar which helps the community and fraternities reflections and for the prayers. These are some of the major responsibility for the liturgy committee.

Landscape Committee

The landscape committee helps to keep the campus clean and tidy and brings awareness of the environments and become echo friendly with nature. It has prepared a beautiful flower garden in the backyard of the Computer lab.

Music Committee

The music committee helps during the Mass to have a beautiful choir. It helps the Brothers to learn new Hymns so makes arrangements to have two singing practices in a month. Apart from the community it helps on first Sunday of the month to have choir during Mass at Milagrosa Church which is one of the substation churches of St. Gabriel’s parish.

Social Committee

The social committee helps during special gatherings and celebrations to have cultural items or programs and during the celebrations it helps to provide delicious food and drinks and it looks after the main dinning hall to keep it clean and tidy.

Sports Committee

Sports committee organizes sports twice in a week within the community. It helps Bothers to have special training out side MAPAC to learn different sports, trained Brothers are asked to teach the other Brothers. Often organizes friendly matches with other congregations. It helps Brothers to stay in good health.
