About us

The Marist Brothers is an International Congregation founded by Marcellin Champagnat, in France, in 1817. It was founded with the purpose of Christian education of the youth, especially those who are least favored. The presence of the Brothers is now found in more than 75 countries all over the world. More than a century ago, the Marist Brothers started their mission in the various parts of Asia and the Pacific. To remain faithful to their Founder’s charism, the Brothers established many educational and formation centers to respond to the needs of the young and the poor in these areas.
